Welcome to the Official Website for the 2010 Oceanic & Australian Formula Windsurfing Championships being held at Jimmy’s Beach, Hawks Nest 3rd-6th February. The Formula Windsurfing (FW) Championships are traditionally the highlight of the Australian racing windsurfing season.

Now in its 10th year, FW has evolved from a European-based racing class into one of the most popular and performance orientated windsurfing racing classes. Australia has a great history of putting on world-class racing regattas and following on from the successful 2005 FW World Championships in Melbourne, NSW is stepping up to the plate to present an unprecedented regatta for FW – attracting both well known professionals from the International FW Circuit and top competitive amateurs.

The steady and consistent gradient and thermical winds typical of Hawks Nest produce fantastic sailing conditions for the FW class and the event should prove to be the biggest event in Australia’s windsurfing calendar this season.
