2017 Day 1 Action

Day 1 of the 2017 Green Island Nats delivered ideal slalom conditions.
Under warm, blue skies racers competed in comfortably powered 15-20kt conditions.

With a falling tide, the first round of Table1 slalom was completed on the upper Reef Flats course before the lunchbreak, followed by a spectacular 1 hour GPS Freerace round on the bright turquoise blue waters of the North course. Competition was exceptionally close amongst the top racers, with actual differences coming down to an effective distance of a couple of hundred metres difference over the full hour.
